We condition on Tuesdays at 6 AM out on the softball field for about an hour. Conditioning can be really good for endurance and speed training in college sports. One of the main things we do is change of direction drills. Changing directions fast is important for softball players because of how we need to get to the ball efficiently. I already feel much faster since we've started conditioning this fall and I think overall our team will get faster.
The mental aspect of sports is as crucial as the physical. Practice is the arena where athletes confront challenges, face setbacks, and learn to overcome adversity. It's a testing ground for mental toughness, resilience, and the ability to stay focused under pressure. The confidence gained through overcoming obstacles in practice translates directly to a player's mental fortitude during competitions. https://universitysports.com/n/balancing-sports-academics-and-your-personal-life
